I’m primarily interested in the development and application of novel stable isotope techniques to a variety of geological and environmental issues. I currently use the stable Sr, Mg and Ca systems to resolve changes in carbonate productivity during the Cenozoic, and have previously used these systems to investigate continental weathering processes and marine geochemical cycles. I also have a strong interest in oceanic anoxia, and have used the Mo isotope palaeoredox proxy to determine how environmental changes during the Jurassic affected the availability of oxygen in seawater.
