Between 22 and 26 July 2019, the National Oceanography Centre is hosting the BIARRITZ Project Workshop, which aims to bring together observationalists and modellers in a series of practical workshops and sessions to advance our understanding of the Twilight Zone.

Providing unique insight into the extensive current activity will be representatives from leading international projects from the US, Spain, UK and developing programmes in France and Germany.

The NOC is proud to both host the workshop and be the lead organisation in three of the UK projects: COMICS, GOCART and CUSTARD.

The workshops will focus on discussing how the science community make best use of the ongoing and future activities by identifying gaps in sampling, consistency of methodology, innovative approaches and pooling of data. To find out more about the conference visit the NOC’s conference website.
