Profile

Biography

I study the physics of the ocean from the small-scale turbulent mixing to the large-scale ocean circulation. My research focuses on assessing the effects of the physical processes on the global circulation, and on the distribution of heat and biogeochemical tracers. I currently investigate submesoscale and convective processes in the Labrador Sea. I mostly use observations, such as autonomous underwater gliders, and numerical simulations.

I am a research scientist within the Marine Physics and Ocean Climate group. Prior to my current position, I was a postdoctoral researcher at Columbia University, and I hold a PhD from the University of Southampton.
