Our scientists will be representing NOC at the EGU General Assembly (14–19 April 2024) which brings together geoscientists from all over the world to one meeting covering all disciplines of the Earth, planetary, and space sciences.

Prof. Steph Henson receives Fridtjof Nansen Medal at the EGU General Assembly

We are proud to congratulate Professor Stephanie Henson, NOC Principal Scientist on receiving the European Geosciences Union’s (EGU) 2024 Fridtjof Nansen Medal for distinguished research in oceanography at the EGU General Assembly this week.

Steph has made an outstanding contribution to a topic of fundamental significance to Earth’s carbon cycle: how phytoplankton populations and subsequent carbon fluxes, respond to climate variability and climate change.
