Robin Pascal is head of the Electronics and Software team in the Ocean Technology and Engineering Group at the National Oceanography Centre, Southampton in the UK.
His interests have included meteorology, air-sea interaction, wave measurement and the development of sensors and systems for the measurement of air-sea fluxes and waves. He was the lead design engineer for the autonomous air-sea interaction system “AutoFlux”; a novel spar buoy to measure wave breaking for the HiWASE & WAGES projects and he is currently the NOC PI for the H2020 BRIDGES deep glider project.
