Inspiring discussions were a central theme at the recent Arctic Circle event in Iceland.

A delegation from the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) travelled to Reykjavík to consider how changes in the Arctic have worldwide impact.

The team were pleased to share their work with UK Government Chief Scientific Adviser Professor Dame Angela McLean, showcasing NOC’s new research vision.

They also discussed how, as a leading marine research institute, NOC is continuing to contribute towards the global research effort that informs how we monitor and manage changes to the Arctic in the future discussing innovative research that tackles important issues in the Arctic.

Alexandra Loveridge, NOC Research Scientist, said: "I’ve had many thought-provoking conversations and learned much about the Arctic from diverse perspectives."
