Connecting communities
Marine robotics is rapidly expanding into the Arctic Ocean, where it will intersect with Indigenous knowledge systems, traditional livelihoods and established governance arrangements.
At the same time, the Arctic Ocean is a critical component of the global climate system, making sustained and innovative observation important far beyond the Arctic itself. How should researchers and technology developers engage respectfully and equitably with Arctic communities and other Arctic stakeholders?
Our Aim
We want to hear from Arctic communities and organisations, researchers, Indigenous and local stakeholders, technology developers, social scientists, designers, policymakers and others interested in the future of Arctic observations. Register your interest in upcoming workshops, webinars, discussions, and other opportunities to contribute. Please fill in the form below.
NOC is initiating this conversation while recognising the expertise, leadership and contributions of the many Arctic and UK organisations already working in this space.
